Effective November 8, 2010  all employees rigging on a construction site, shall be qualified.  This is a mandatory requirement in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1400 Regulations.

Rigging certification is now required Nationwide.  The new law was published in the Federal Register on August 9, 2010 and took effect November 8, 2010. Rigging training is the responsibility of the the employer and are given 4 years to comply with this new ruling.  Which will be November 10, 2014.  The new ruling applies to employees engaging in rigging a construction site (see CFR1926.1425) cranes and derricks in construction. More information can be found under 1926.1404 (r) (1) and 1926.1425 (c) (3). A qualified rigger is a rigger who meets the criteria for a qualified person.

Qualified Rigger            1926.1401

Is a rigger who meets the criteria for a qualified person. Certification last for 5 years

Qualified Person         1926.1401

Means a person who, by possession of a recognized degree certificate, or professional standing, or who by extensive knowledge, training and experience, successfully demonstrated the ability to solve/resolve problems relating to the subject matter,the work, or the project.

OSHA rigging standards have changed. 1926.1400 is the new OSHA standard for rigging equipment. This standard applies to power operated equipment used for hoisting and rigging. crane rigging certification can be provided to multiple persons onsite nation wide. Spanish training can also be provided onsite. Signalperson  crane rigging certification schedules  are under construction on our site but we are masters at training and ensure that you get qualified training. This OSHA rule 1926.1400 requires employees on construction site to have training for rigging equipment. Our training locations provide certified riggers training, signal person training and OSHA crane operator certification.
